An accredited conservation architect and formerly our York studio director, Dorian has led some of our most high-profile projects, including the multi-phase regeneration of Wentworth Woodhouse.
Having worked at Donald Insall Associates for over a decade, Dorian’s deep understanding of our ethos – paired with his insight into pressing sector challenges like climate resilience, unlocking development potential and the heritage skills gap – makes him ideally placed to lead the next chapter of our practice. He is supported by our board of directors and the newly established senior leadership team.
Speaking of this transition, Dorian says:
“We find ourselves embarking on a generational change of leadership. With this exciting opportunity, my vision for the practice is to seize this moment of succession as an opportunity to reflect on what we do and why. The beauty of this exercise, in a practice with such a rich history, is that we are finding many of the answers to our questions come from our founding principles: we exist to help our clients navigate the most complex challenges in the heritage environment.”
“The challenges are different, but our approach of innovation and our core values remain starkly similar to when we were founded over 65 years ago. For us to succeed, we must continue to embrace a more diverse workforce and ensure our colleagues feel well equipped, supported, valued and rewarded.”
