One year on: our B Corp impact report

News

Our first B Corp Annual Impact Report 2024-2025 marks a milestone in our commitment to use business as a force for good.

It sets out how we’re cutting carbon through retrofit and repair, helping our people thrive, and investing in the communities around us. We’re reporting transparently on our goals, what we achieved, and what we’ll do next.

Some highlights from the past year include:

  • Launched our 2025-2028 business plan to set out a clear vision for our long-term priorities;

  • Achieved Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) validation for our net zero targets — we are on track for 2045;

  • 2,700+ hours of continuing professional development invested in our team;

  • £187,875 in independently verified social value creation;

  • Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) reinvigorated as a core engagement and governance mechanism;

  • Won the AJ Community Impact Award 2025, which recognises the wide-ranging social impact of our work at The Camellia House, Wentworth Woodhouse.

“We know that our responsibility extends far beyond the buildings we design and repurpose: it reaches into the cultural, environmental, and social fabric of the places we serve,” says Dorian Proudfoot, DIA chief executive.

“One year in, we stand proud of what we’ve achieved and resolute in our commitment to go further – shaping not only buildings, but the futures of the people and communities they serve.”
