Grade II-listed Bury House was built in 1901–1902 to the designs of Robert Worley. Located in a narrow street, just to the south of Piccadilly, Bury House was typical of the turn-of-the-century commercial mixed-use redevelopments in St James’s.

DIA worked with Morrow & Lorraine Architects to restore the historic interiors and upgrade them so as to suit the needs of contemporary tenants, including kitchens, secondary glazing (to help with energy consumption and late-night noise), bathrooms with showers, climate control, and terraces or balconies for post-work drinks. Consent was obtained for an elegant scheme, despite challenges faced over the size constraint of the site.
